10 Ft Clinician Sport Water Loop Reins

These 10 ft rope reins by Andrea Equine are a definite must-have in your tack room. They have the same heavy weight and feel as our rope mecate reins and leads, but are a bit easier to manage if you don't like the lead end of the mecate. Most rope reins on the market are 8 ft, but clinicians have found that a 10 ft rein gives your horse more slack and a better release of pressure, resulting in a softer horse.

Our new sport rope reins are designed for horses that are at a high level of training and refinement. Water loop attachments on the ends provide a more refined cue than that of a slobber strap, which is great for horse that's already very soft. If your horse is still learning or needs a tune-up, we recommend our original clinician loop reins paired with our slobber straps. 

The butter soft water loop attachments are made with our signature Andrea Equine harness leather for the ultimate feel and durability. They work perfectly with leverage bits or bits with smaller rings!

Note- We build all of our tack without scissor snap attachments for the benefit of your horse. Reins with snaps lack feel and block the correct communication of cues that a leather slobber strap or water loop would provide. Leather ensures that your horse is as soft and responsive as possible. In addition, snaps often rust out or break, while our leather remains durable throughout the life of the rein!
