The Mark

Cross-S is a Montana cattle brand. A cross and an S, burned into hide, meaning this one is ours and we are answerable for it. A brand goes on ground you’ve proved up on. It has been in the family longer than any of us have.

道 is the Japanese character for a road.

Our founder’s wife and children are Japanese. The two marks travel together.
